Shanghai is an obvious stop over between London and Auckland – splitting the flights almost exactly in half. Two nights is barely enough but felt sufficiently daunting as we headed in from the airport to our downtown hotel in a jet lagged daze. Despite the overwhelming population, hot and humid temperatures and foreignness that made choosing what to have for dinner a challenge we enjoyed the sights and sounds of one of the world’s must see cities.
