We flew into Cork, hired a car and travelled south picking up the Wild Atlantic Way at Clonakilty. With only a couple of days we made our way through Bantry, Kenmare, Killarney and Dingle before heading west. We tried a few “other” roads, which is an experience in itself, but mostly kept to the main regional road – the N71. The green of the countryside was striking and the towns all charming but overrun with cars and tourists – including us.
