Taylor and I spent three weeks on the road in the South Island in May. We flew in to Christchurch Airport picked up a car and drove to Methven via the Rakaia Gorge. The next day we worked our way via Geraldine and Burkes Pass to Tekapo. The weather was fine and it got our holiday off to a great start from the stunning blue/green water of the Rakaia river to the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd on the shores of Lake Tekapo.
