We woke to the threat of a storm in our hotel on the shores of Lake Wakatipu but were able to explore the town and parks in the morning before the rain set in. After after a rough night the next morning was calm and clear with a light dusting of snow all around. Not being big fans of tourists we were delighted the usually packed Queenstown was pleasantly subdued on this visit due to the Covid 19 border closure. After a few snaps we headed down the southern arm of Wakatipu to Kingston on our way to Te Anau.
