The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square, London.  Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900. Amazingly it is free to the public and has paintings of many if not all of the masters. It would take several days to fully explore (although much smaller that the Louvre in Paris) and we only had several hours. I know photographing other artists work is not de rigueur but how else to capture the experience. It is fantastic to be able to see so many masterpieces at one time.
