We stayed in Moana on the shores of Lake Brunner – the largest freshwater lake on the west coast of New Zealand’s South Island. We soon discovered it is home to some sizeable trout as Taylor captured a local angler landing a big one. We had time to take some late afternoon shots of the lake and surrounds and came back in the morning to a lovely misty lake before heading south to Hokitika. Somehow we took a wrong turning down an unsealed road and found ourselves on the other side of the lake with a some great views of semi submerged trees against cloud covered ranges.
