We got back to Christchurch a couple of days earlier than planned. That enabled us to take a day trip out to Akaroa as well as a damp morning in downtown Christchurch – gradually returning to normal post the earthquakes a decade ago. We enjoyed the walk through Hagley Park and the new Market Place in the city.
