Our first trip out of London was to the South East. After overnighting at Dover, and a short detour to Margate, we took the train back to Canterbury where we stayed the night in the Cathedral Lodge. For the record “Canterbury Cathedral is the Mother Church of the worldwide Anglican Communion and seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The Cathedral is both a holy place and part of a World Heritage Site. It is the home of a community of people who seek to make the Cathedral a place of welcome, beauty and holiness”.

It is also a glorious architectural triumph. We had repeated access to the grounds and cathedral and enjoyed our time – as well as the breakfast in the Lodge. Took heaps of photos and hope you like the ones included here.

Hope you are enjoying the images
