The Manawatu area in NewZealand has the dubious honour of being renowned for its wind and little else. The Ruahine and Tararua Ranges to the east are the site of New Zealand’s largest wind farm. This image is taken from the delightful Ashhurst Domain looking across the Pohangina River valley to the wind turbines on the Ruahine Ranges just north of the Manawatu Gorge
